How to Make Susan’s Card:

1. Place the fold of the card on the left-hand side. Cut 1” from the right side of the card front only. Cover the remaining card front with blue “leather” paper. Cut a 3 7/8” x 6 1/2” rectangle of blue “linen” paper and glue to the center of the card front.
2. Cover the inside with blue stamp pad paper.
3. Cut the “Hope Your Birthday is Extraordinary!” quote into a rectangle. Mat on blue wash paper. Make a small hole in the “o” in “extraordinary” with the tip of your knife. Place the end of a mini clip through the hole so the swirl of the clip covers the “o” in the quote.
4. Use your knife to cut around the tab at the top of the tag. Add the quote to the tag, tucked underneath the tab. Glue to the card front as shown.
5. For the birthday accordion folded embellishment: Cover a slide mount with blue stamp pad paper, trimming excess from inside and outside edges. Mat on blue “leather” paper, leaving a thin border around the outside and the center intact.
6. To create the accordion fold, cut a 7 1/2” x 1 1/2” piece of blue “leather” paper. Score on the back every 1 1/2” and fold accordion-style in a stack, so the top section is blue, and unfolds out to the left. Cut out the embossed focals and glue one to the first, third, and fifth folded sections. Glue the underneath side of the bottom section to the inside of the slide mount.
7. Cut out the words “just”, “like”, and “you!” and mat on blue stamp pad paper. Add to the remaining blue sections of the accordion fold. Fold up the accordion and add a mini clip at the side to hold it closed. Glue to the bottom of the card front.
8. Mat the “Have a spectacular day!” quote piece on blue wash paper. Add a circular clip and glue to the inside of the card.
