Why am I so addicted to mini albums? They’re fast, easy and fun to make! They’re fast because they’re small–I don’t need to spend time thinking about my layout because each page perfectly fits one or two photos, a small amount of journaling and some key embellishments. Hot Off The Press makes it easy–they’ve coordinated everything for me, which means I don’t need to spend time rummaging through my collection of scrapbooking supplies to find something that looks great. I can’t get enough of the albums and the coordinating paper and cardstock packs. There are currently 9 different themes to choose from like Christmas, Birthday, Vacation and Wedding, so you’re sure to have the right supplies no matter what the occasion. Each theme is also versatile–the paper packs and cardstock contain every color you might want to use to decorate an album page, not just the obvious (yes, the Christmas papers and cardstock do contain red and green color schemes, but also shades of tan and soft blues and purples!).
The paper packs are wonderful! Each set includes 38 sheets of patterned and solid papers plus tons of artwork and alphabet tiles, each sized perfectly for the 8”x8” format (which makes them great for cards and sarabinders™ too!). The cardstock packs are all made to coordinate with the colors in the paper packs and are perfect for photo and journaling mats, or use them as background papers on their own. The front of the albums are fun to personalize with album accents and other embellishments, and they’re post bound so you can continue to add more pages as needed.
My current obsession is the set of Friendship-themed mini album supplies. All of the colors and patterns are so fresh and fun to use. I recently created an album for my best friend for her 40th birthday and, even though I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on the album, it came together so easily. I was so pleased with how it turned out and my friend absolutely loved it and was so touched by the time and personal thought that went into it–so touched it even made her cry!
