Technique: Thanksgiving Menu Cards

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Make a celebration of this year's feast with Paris' decorated menu cards! They're great for family-filled tables and buffet-style dinners, and they're easy to customize for your own family's traditional Thanksgiving menu.
Lay the menu cards flat next to each dish, or get creative! Attach a craft stick to the cards, then place them in jars filled with pebbles, beans or marbles. Or use Styrofoam blocks decorated with fall-colored silk flowers or leaves from your local craft store!

Supplies:
- Autumn/Thanksgiving Almost Done™
- Paper Pizazz® Busy Scrapper's Solution 4 Seasons Papers
- Slide Mount Mania Super-Size Slide Mounts
- Cardmaker's Earth's Palette Ribbons
- craft knife, cutting mat
- foam tape
- small Zots™
- glue stick
| Covering A Slide Mount |
Glue the slide mount to the back of a piece of paper, then trim the paper even with the edges of the slide mount. |
Cut an "X" in the paper in the center of the slide mount. |
Fold each of the pieces onto the back of the slide mount and glue in place, then trim the excess paper even with the edges. |
Turkey:
Cover a slide mount with light plaid paper. Glue tan vellum behind the slide mount window. Attach the 3-D cornucopia in the bottom left corner. Attach the 3-D "turkey" label over the right side.
Cornbread Stuffing:
Cover a slide mount with tan leaves paper. Computer journal "cornbread stuffing" on tan vellum and cut to a strip. Place the strip over the large tag cut-out, wrap the ends around the edges of the tag and glue to the back side. Glue the tag at an angle over the slide mount window. Glue a small tag at an angle over the large tag, aligning the tabs. Zot™ a bow of brown ribbon over the tabs.
Au Gratin Potatoes:
Cover a slide mount with the dark plaid portion of the plaid collage paper. Attach the 3-D framed pumpkins over the slide mount window. Computer journal "au gratin potatoes" on tan vellum and cut to a strip. Place the strip at an angle over the slide mount and wrap the ends around the edges, gluing them to the back side.
Pumpkin:
Cover a slide mount with light plaid paper. Glue tan vellum behind the slide mount window. Glue the framed fruits cut-out behind the vellum, framing it in the slide mount window. Knot two lengths of brown ribbon, then wrap the loose ends around the top of the slide mount and glue them to the back side. Attach the 3-D "pumpkin" label at an angle in the top left corner of the slide mount. Cut out alphabet tiles to spell "pie" and foam tape them across the bottom edge.
Cranberry Sauce:
Cover a slide mount with tan leaves paper. Computer journal "cranberry sauce" on tan vellum and glue behind the slide mount window. Attach the 3-D plaid frame around the slide mount window. Attach a 3-D leaf tag at an angle in the bottom left corner.
