Sara's Surfaces™ Boxes

Suddenly, I can’t stop thinking about gift-giving. Whether it’s my mom’s birthday present or a “Just Because” gift for my best friend, my head is flooded with creative ideas. Maybe it’s the summer sun or more likely, it’s my newfound addiction—these absolutely adorable alterable boxes from Hot Off The Press.

These cute mini boxes come two per pack for just $2.99 and are absolutely inspiring. I can decorate them however I want—with alcohol inks, stamping, paper and more—then fill them with cool little gifts like a pretty necklace for my mom inside a swirl box, or a CD of photos in a decorated pizza box for my best friend. Not only are the Boxes a great value, they’re terrifically fun and totally functional, too!

Honor Multi-Shaper Punch

These days I’m all about value, which means I want more bang for my buck, something that’s sometimes difficult to come by. Difficult, though not impossible.

One of my most valuable finds recently was this Honor Multi-Shape Punch from Blue Hills Studio. This cool tool is like having 8 different punches in one and works well for adding borders or elegant corners to pages, cards and more. You can also use it to punch circle and oval shapes with lovely edges.

My favorite feature about the punch is that the punching mechanism and base are magnetized. This means you can detach the mechanism to place your paper, then reattach it, allowing you to, no kidding—punch anywhere on your paper! Another cool feature is that the punch has guides on the base to help you align and realign your paper to punch perfect borders in straight lines, circles, ovals or square shapes. Use the punched shapes to mat photos or journaling or use the negative for a fun frame.

The Honor Multi-Shaper Punch is available from Paper Wishes for just $22.99!

New Acrylic Stamps

Years ago I swore I’d never be into stamping. It seemed like such an expensive hobby at around $10 per stamp. Plus, how on earth do you line up an image just right when you can’t see the bottom of the stamp?

You’ve probably already guessed that my opinion on stamping has changed drastically, something that happened quickly when HOTP released its first sets of trendy clear acrylic stamps last year. Now I just can’t get enough of stamping, though I bet my husband wishes it weren’t so. I love the affordability of HOTP’s sets (just $17.99 for several stamps per set), not to mention how easy they are to use. Just peel the stamp from between the clear sheets, place on an Acrylic Block, then ink and stamp. No more guessing about where your image will end up.

I’m thrilled to announce that HOTP has just released 7 brand new sets that I can’t wait to try. From cool Fun & Funky Arrows to the functional Mix Your Messages and Tiny Words & Images (great for cardmaking!), you’ll love them all!
